Mark Lowenthal, Psy.D. has helped many adults, adolescents, pre-teens, and families during his more than 25 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. His approach involves helping his clients better understand themselves and their patterns of interaction. This allows them to develop greater self-acceptance and effective coping strategies.
His style tends to be interactive as he tries to provide a warm and caring approach to assist you in understanding and working through the difficult issues in your life. He works with adults, and adolescents, helps them through their stress-related problems, such as anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Lowenthal also offers couples and family counseling.
With young adults and teens, his focus is on developing a good working alliance while also cooperating closely with their parents. By including the parents in the treatment, he wants to increase the use of effective parenting strategies and improve communication in the household.
Dr. Lowenthal received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University's Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.
